Sean Sylvia
Ground Operations Manager, Pararescue for Red Flag Rescue
Sean Sylvia joined Monterey in 2021 after completing his Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona. He has served in the United States Air Force as a Pararescue man for over 16 years. Currently, he serves in the Reserve’s as a Pararescue Team Leader. He has supported multiple combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Additionally, he supported international partners through joint combined exercises as an instructor and subject matter expert on medicine and tactics. Sean now manages the ground operations of Pararescue for the United States Air Force Red Flag Rescue exercise at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. He coordinates with rescue team players on learning objectives, providing medical and logistical support, and acting as the subject matter expert for the ground special warfare division. Sean enjoys hiking outdoors, skydiving, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
