DESCRIPTION |
Title: Nurse Practitioner Primary Location: Springdale, OR – Job Corp Center Schedule: 1 day/week – 8 am – 5 pm (Typically Wednesday, but might have some flexibility) Position Type: Contract through February 28, 2025 Job Summary and Background: The Nurse Practitioner shall provide ON-SITE Medical services for all students at the Job Corp Center, in Springdale, OR in accordance with applicable Federal laws/regulations, OSHA and HIPAA requirements, state and local laws, and guidelines of the American Medical Association. Job Corps is a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA) program. Job Corps is designed to assist young people who need and can benefit from the wide range of services provided at a Job Corps center. Services include the following: basic education, High School Diploma (HSD) program; General Educational Development (GED); vocational skills training; residential living program; healthcare; and related support services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assessment and diagnosis of illness and injury, to include:
Treatment, as highlighted below, will be provided when necessary.
If a student sustains an on-the-job injury that requires extensive or specialized treatment, he or she will be medically separated as a Medical Separation with Reinstatement Rights (MSWR) and a referral will be sent to the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP).
Center Staff Support
Qualifications: · Specialized in either of the following: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine. · Prior experience working with young adults. · Have an active, unrestricted license to practice independently in the state where services will be provided. · Maintain licensing requirements/certification/accreditation. · Agree to a criminal background check |
