Join our team as a Sterile Processing Technician with the Department of Veterans Affairs.  Services to be performed at the Cheyenne, WY VA Medical Center OR the Loveland, CO Community-Based Outpatient Clinic*Please notify Recruiter of location preference.

What we do: Monterey teams with general practice, specialists, and allied health practitioners nationwide to provide local coverage for examinees. We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.

Specific Skills
  • Experience: 1 year Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Responsible For

The Contract Anesthesiologist may be responsible for:

  • Must possess a very broad knowledge of all types of surgical and clinical instrumentation. This knowledge must include sufficient working knowledge to be able to identify damaged or broken instruments and be able to find a suitable replacement item if available.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aseptic principles and techniques including characteristics of various types of detergents and cleaning techniques.
  • Decontaminating a full range of reusable medical and surgical supplies, instruments, flexible, rigid, video scopes and medical equipment such as cables and cords used in the medical center's wards, clinics and operating rooms.
  • Determines and uses the appropriate method for removing contamination.
  • Operates various kinds of equipment such as ultrasonic cleaners, washer disinfectors, scope washers, and leak testers.
  • Operates various kinds of sterilizers such as Hydrogen Peroxide and Steam.

Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift, 8-hr shift between 7A-5:30P, M-F.

Period of Performance: Initial period April 12 2025-April 11th 2026 w/ four 1-year renewal options.

Additional Requirements
  • Subject to background/security investigation.
  • Able to pass drug screening.
  • Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process.
  • Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
